One of the main macro-areas of interest of the Research Center concerns air quality and the impact on human and environmental health.
The Center was born in 2008, 15 years ago, as POLveri in Ambiente e Rischio per la Salute Research Center (POLARIS is the acronym).
The major activities are:
– Monitoring of fine (PM) and ultrafine (UFP) particles in outdoor and indoor environments
– Evaluation of effects on in vitro and in vivo systems
– Clinical and epidemiological evaluation of health effects
